Some lives begin poorly. But some lives are able to start again. These two babies are the newest members of the Akany Avoko family.
The boy (above) is in fact new to almost everything; he is only 5 days old. He was born at a local hospital, but when his mother was unable to pay the medical bill, she fled the hospital and abandoned her child. The baby was sent to the courts and the judge herself brought the 2 day old baby to our doors on Saturday night. He is doing well and is now anything but alone.
At 4 weeks of age, this little girl (below) and her two sisters were found crying and abandoned on the streets of Tana on Christmas day. Passersby rescued the children and they were taken into the care of the courts who then placed them in their new home at Akany.

They are absolutely adorable. They are lucky to have found Akany Avoko as you are lucky to be a part of their lives. I wish them happy healthy lives.
