Dancing in the New Year

Looking very cool and wearing pink shoes. That is not easy.
Jan. 11, 2011 Text and Photos by Chad Lebo

Here in the East Africa timezone, Akany may have reached the new year a few hours earlier than you, but we sure did celebrate the same. The New Year's celebration began at 7:00 pm and the last of the kids and staff collapsed about two hours into 2011. The wonderful night was full of music, eating, dancing, games, more eating and of course karaoke.

Please be sure to click on "Read More" below, so you can see all the action in photos.

If that is not a photo from a fun night, I don't know what is.
Now that is striking a pose.
Karaoke is always easier with a friend.
The kind of dancing that may require a net.
Enjoying of the three full plates of food that was served throughout the party.
When is the last time you had that much fun doing the limbo?
Not everyone was able to keep awake until the midnight hour.
Even the staff donned their best/worst clothes and danced. The kids loved it.
